Cybele
She’s chasing storms and she’s following voices
She knows the darkness like her front doorstep
Her hands feel rough cause she’s seen too much
Yet she leads him in with a silky touch
Cybele the whole world’s at your feet
The whole worl'd’s at your…
Her only friends are those lion men
With a roar and a grin
that sends shivers through your skin
No one sees all the pain she’s in
All the demons in the dark
that whisper lies into her heart
Cybele hand over the keys
Hand over the…
Cybele won’t you wake up and see
won’t you wake up and…
Cybele you can’t manipulate the stars
to follow your design
One day you’ve gotta learn that
the only thing you need in life
Is something to really satisfy
that desire that you push aside
But in the end you’ll realize it’s
the only thing that’s keeping you alive
And you’ll find it when you quit running
Cybele, the whole world’s at your feet
the whole world’s at your…
Stay ‘Til I Die
Something like a secret that spins my stomach thin
A whisper in the garden to turn the child to sin
Would you leave your birthright
to lend an ear and listen
You let it all go for a taste of fruit so fruitless
Come up on the mountain, a cloud in which I dwell
You shake my invitation and hide behind yourselves
I’ll give you my provision to keep you as my twelve
You don’t hunt the water, so I’ll give you a well
Since the day I sang, I had my eyes
Set on this one thing, to walk beside you
All I want is you
You sat and asked those questions
you listened at my feet
Behold your blessed teacher, hanging on a tree
You see me at my weakest
you don’t even recognise the king
But I’ll stay till I die, to have you with me
In The Wind
The night is closing in With the remnant of my sin
Pulling me back to where I’ve been
How did I not see them following
The clouds are opening, Hear the skies start trembling
I hear the winter is colder than before
When you’ve wandered too far from home
You were calling me
You were drawing near
I saw your prints alongside mine
I felt you promise me inside
That constellations don’t change over time
And just like the stars
you’re here all through the night
I hear you calling me
I hear you drawing near
If you’re the one who has been whispering
I can assure you I’ve been listening
I’ve heard your voice carry through the winds
You are the echo I keep singing
Run run, don’t look back
Take my hand, don’t turn back
Run now, don’t forget
This is your time, don’t stop just yet
Independence
I’ve tried doing this on my own
But every time I do I fall
There’s nothing to learn and nothing to say
‘Cause independence does things her own way
Fighting to be free at last
Giving it everything I can
If only I could learn to be
Dependent on someone that ain’t me
My options are running dry
My fear is running high
The walls are closing in
And I’ve got nothing left to give
I’m starting to see just what this was
I never knew what the cross had done
So I ran and I ran from the one called Love
But no, not once did you stand and watch
You ran after me
Like I was a prize to be won
And you want me
Independent of what I’ve done
Pulling me out of my manmade hole
I take your hand, and let go of my own
Learning to trust, I’m learning to lean
But your palm in mine holds certainty
Nowhere Else
Come with me to the land
As far as east from west goes
Just give me a yes or a no
What I’ve done in a breath
Is everything you need so
Much more than you could ever know
Don’t think twice, but count the cost
There’s more than meets the eye
Take a cross and you can take my life
At my word, follow me
Leave your old name behind
Leave your father, and I’ll show you mine
Teacher I have seen you in the hidden place
And I listen in the quiet of day
And never have I heard these words of grace
That lead me to the sweetness of your face
And I know
And I know
There’s no where else I would go
Nowhere else I would go
Beatitude
Blessed are the poor in spirit
For we know we need you
Blessed are the poor in spirit
For we know we need you
I loosen the grip
Where I’ve held on too tight
I lay down my riches
And give up my rights
I won’t be holding on
I’m letting go
Blessed are the hungry children
We’ll be satisfied
Blessed are the hungry children
We’ll be satisfied
I won’t spend my gold
On bread that won’t fill
I look to the heavens
Knowing only you will
Jesus I’m hungry
Come satisfy me
Blessed are the pure in heart
We will see God
Blessed are the pure in heart
We will see God
The Table
It challenges my heart when I’m reminded that the first place he led me to was the table. Why would a King invite me here? Would He eat with me or would He leave? Insecurity and anxiety fiercely scrawled questions on my heart until His presence at my side spoke rest to my soul. A weighty comfort settled and I leant into it. This Father Friend, this Royal Lover, wanted to remain. And his invitation to me was to do the same.
Every breath my lungs had ever held was placed inside only to be released before the King, as a deep and trusting, 'Yes’: My acceptance at his bidding to dwell at the table. And after all this time - whether it's been a day or a forever - this one thing I have discovered: sitting with the King was all the nourishment my heart ever required.
Truth About Me
You’re the truth about me
The truth about me
With you I have no need
Of anything
You’ve changed me with your love
I’m not lonely anymore
I’m not hopeless anymore
Colour (Billy’s Song)
You are the colour, colour
You are the colour in my life
You are the colour, colour
And you unlock the wild inside my heart
And we’ll run run run run together in arms
You keep surprising me with your beauty God
And everyday with you gets better than the last
When I see you everything changes
When I see you everything changes
You give me new eyes, You give me perspective
You give me the colour of heaven
You are the colour, colour
